Join Us for our Festive Flow and Flowers evening retreat on Friday 28th November🎄

We’re excited to invite you to our festive Christmas retreat this year!
Head to our beautiful beach home in Hill Head for a delightful evening filled with chair yoga, meditation,
and an incredible wreath-making workshop with Jo Parker.

Jo, the talented owner of Driftwood and Daisy Flower School, will guide you in crafting your very own Christmas door wreaths
using natural elements like cones, pods, and dried fruits.

Lisa will lead us through a calming meditation session and gentle chair yoga, followed by delicious canapés lovingly prepared by our team.

Enjoy mulled wine and warm teas while breathing in the festive scents of Christmas throughout the house 🍷

Our cosy venue overlooks the stunning Solent, and you’re welcome to unwind in our warm jacuzzi and swim spa on a crisp evening.

Welcome to The Yoga Being Studio.

Nestled away from the bustle of the high street, this little sanctuary is more than just a studio — it’s a haven for the soul. Opened in February 2025, we’ve created a space where healing, connection, and transformation can unfold, one breath at a time.

When my first studio closed its doors during the pandemic, I never imagined I’d be called to open a new one. But deep down, I always knew that my heart was meant to create a place where people could find peace, grounding, and a true sense of belonging. And so, with love and a quiet determination, The Yoga Being was born.,

Here, you won’t find the typical studio experience. Instead, you’ll find intimate, tailored yoga classes, one-on-one wellness journeys, and a variety of transformative practices designed to support your mind, body, and spirit. Whether you’re looking to deepen your practice, restore balance in your life, or simply carve out a moment of stillness for yourself, this is a space for you to feel truly seen, heard, and nurtured.

I’m deeply thankful to the incredible healers, teachers, and therapists who now share this space with me. Together, we offer a beautiful range of services, from yoga and sound healing, to breathwork, coaching, and counselling. And soon, we’ll be introducing regular women’s circles — a powerful space for connection, growth, and empowerment.

This studio is not just a place to practice; it’s a community. And we’re here to support you in your journey toward wholeness, one step at a time.


Meet the Team

Lou Courtney – Consulting Medical Herbalist

Louise is a qualified medical herbalist with a four-year advanced diploma from Heartwood College, accredited by the National Institute of Medical Herbalists.

Her passion for herbal medicine grew from her own healing journey — finding relief from digestive issues, hormonal changes, anxiety and even sports-related injuries. After a long academic career, Lou followed her heart into herbalism in 2019 and hasn’t looked back.

She recently opened her own apothecary in Titchfield Village and also teaches Monday evening yoga here at the studio.

Gabrielle Gant – Yoga Teacher

Gabrielle discovered yoga in her early 20s while seeking relief from chronic neck pain. This eventually led her to leave her London career and train at Rishikul Yogshala in Rishikesh, India.

Her teaching is gentle, accessible and rooted in alignment and wellbeing.

Pregnancy Yoga

Thursdays, 6.45–7.45pm
£65 for 6 weeks – suitable from 12 weeks pregnant

A supportive practice for the second and third trimester. Benefits include improved sleep, easing pelvic and back pain, breathwork for birth, and gentle full-body strengthening.

Mindfulness & Meditation Yoga

Thursdays, 8–9pm
£60 for 6 weeks – suitable for all levels

A calming, mindful evening class focused on alignment, softening tension, and regulating the nervous system — ending with a relaxing guided meditation.

Gabrielle also offers 1:1 sessions, workplace classes, and private groups for both adults and children.

Wellbeing Harmony – Sophia

Sophia is a holistic therapist with 19 years of spa experience, specialising in Sound Healing, Chakra Therapy, and Womb Healing.

She offers group sound baths, day retreats, and deeply nurturing 1:1 women’s wellness treatments — weaving sound, energy balancing and subtle-body healing.

Sessions at the Studio

  • Monthly Tuesday Morning Rise & Rejuvenate – 9.30–10.30am
  • Fortnightly Soothing Sunday Sound Bath – 7.30–8.30pm

Jo Winch – Re:Connected Breathwork

Jo offers trauma-informed breathwork sessions designed to calm the nervous system, release stress, and bring you back into clarity and presence.

What to Expect

  • Conscious Connected Breathwork (music-led, no breath holds)
  • Trauma-informed facilitation aligned with GPBA ethical standards
  • Supportive integration before and after sessions
  • 90-minute in-person journeys
  • Suitable for professionals, veterans, leaders and anyone seeking deep personal growth
  • Optional introductory consultation for beginners

Ellington Counselling – Lavine Ellington

Lavine is a counsellor with extensive lived experience and professional training, holding membership with BACP, HACP, BAATN and more.

Her work includes addiction, domestic abuse, sexual trauma, racism, LGBTQIA+ matters, mental health and neurodiversity.

She offers grounded, compassionate support — listening deeply, gently challenging where helpful, and empowering you to find confidence and clarity.

My 1:1 work is called Your Practise — because no two sessions are ever the same.

These sessions blend yoga, intuitive healing, hands-on support, coaching and guidance, meeting you exactly where you are.

This studio exists for deep rest, release and healing.

You’re welcome to begin with a single session or explore a deeper journey over several sessions.

Meet Your Retreat Team, Lisa and Kerry

Hi I’m Lisa, and I am really glad you are here! I am a Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist and Wellness coach based in Southern England.

Hi, I’m Kerry – the other half to The Yoga Being Retreats, and quite literally the other half to my dear friend Lisa.  I’m a Pisces, and quite true to my star sign I am sensitive, caring and creative.

I recognise more and more an increase in loneliness. Not only are we disconnecting from ourselves, but we are losing the connection with each other. I have witnessed firsthand how invaluable collectively coming together is on our overall wellbeing. Blend that with a weekend of yoga, nutritious food, nature and reflective practises through creativity and sound healing and it becomes a life changing experience.

That is why I have started to offer weekend retreats with a wonderful soul I have had the pleasure in knowing since the age of 7. Together we create something truly special which we wholeheartedly feel everyone needs to experience at least once – The Yoga Being Retreats.

Kerry Saunders is not only a beautiful, nurturing, intuitive soul, but she also has the most incredible attention to detail. With over 30 years of working in the business world and running a highly successful business with her husband for 10 of those years, she is excellent at bringing the wow factor to our retreats.

This collaboration means we offer the highest quality retreats, as we bring both our skills together to make sure all your needs are met. We know that to do the deeper inner work, you need the optimum environment to feel safe to go there. And that’s why our mission is to create the most nurturing space through offering high quality food, fabulous treatments, expertise in healing modalities, informative workshop, idyllic surroundings and a cosy place to rest your head at the end of the day.
